University of Huddersfield partners with Agilisys to deliver improved collaborative environment

Microsoft Gold Partner Agilisys partners with the University of Huddersfield

Agilisys has been selected by the University of Huddersfield as strategic partner for its Microsoft Office 365 implementation.

The University selected Agilisys, which holds Gold Partner status with Microsoft, based on its  experience of successfully partnering with other organisations – of a similar size – to roll out and embed the suite of Microsoft office tools.

Office 365 is fast becoming the cloud-based productivity suite of choice for organisations looking to enable greater cross-team collaboration, as well as offer more opportunities for flexible and mobile working.

Agilisys and the University will work together to develop full use of the Office 365 suite, building on and enhancing the University’s existing skills and capabilities to ensure knowledge transfer right across the university.

Krish Pilicudale, Deputy Director of Computing & Library Services at the University of Huddersfield said: “The rollout of Office 365 promises significant benefits to the University, our academic and administration staff as well as our students. These include improved efficiency and better collaboration with our academic partners, who are increasingly working in dispersed locations as we extend our global reach in innovation and research.

“In Agilisys we have found a partner that can help us unlock the value of Office 365 whilst supporting us to develop our own in-house digital skills and capabilities through effective adoption and usage on a safe and secure cloud-based platform.”

Andrew Mindenhall, chief executive at Agilisys, added: “We are delighted to see continual growth in the adoption and use of cloud-based workplace tools. Platforms such as Office 365 have the potential to save organisations money and improve productivity if adopted for the right reasons, and in the right way.

“In our experience, Office 365 can be a catalyst in any digital transformation journey. What is set to be learned from a successful roll out will give the University the confidence to take on more complex upgrades, such as deploying internal applications in the cloud.

“Using our deep domain expertise as a Microsoft Gold Partner, we will work with the University of Huddersfield to optimise the benefits of Office 365 and support them to prepare the organisation for a cloud-centric future.”
