Nicola Graham, Head of ICT, Aberdeenshire Council

Nicola serves as Head of ICT at Aberdeenshire Council and was recently named as the new President of SOCITM.

She has a wealth of experience and has worked in ICT for the past 25 years having graduated from Napier University, and is noted for building effective and commercially aware teams that have overseen major transformational programmes and projects in complex environments.

She joined Aberdeenshire Council as head of ICT in 2011, with a remit to bring about change to the service. She has led it through a transformation programme, implementing new technology, strengthening the skills of the team and the digital skills of the workforce.

In recent years Nicola has led the transformation of the council, which has seen it become one of the first Scottish local authorities to fully embrace a ‘cloud-based’ service management tool for ICT delivery.
