Lesley O’Halloran, Assistant Director Customer Services, Wigan Council

Lesley has provided digital leadership for Wigan Council during the five years I have worked with her.

As an Assistant Director responsible for Customer Services, she has continually advocated new and innovative methods for displacing contacts out of the attended channel and the continuing drive toward self-service and digital engagement with residents.

Under her management, 1/3rd of all properties across the borough have registered for a Wigan “My Account” enabling access to a wide-range of Council services including; Council Tax; Rents; Registrars; self-service reporting of issues etc.

Working with other Council colleagues, Lesley has taken on responsibility for a number of the services and, aligning with the Council Digital Strategy, is designed to deliver both service quality improvement and reduction in operating costs.

Her drive and enthusiasm for embracing technology to enable business change is admirable and an example to others.
