Agilisys announces the appointment of new Chairman

Tom Drury replaces Charles Mindenhall in role

Tom Drury has been appointed as the new Chairman of Agilisys. Drury has been a member of the Agilisys Board since October 2017, has over 20 years senior executive leadership experience, most recently as Chief Executive of Arrow Global, the listed European credit management services company, which he led through its successful IPO in 2013.

Previous roles include positions as Group Chief Executive at Shanks Group, Managing Director of Vertex Data Science and a Board member of United Utilities, where he gained extensive experience in the use of data and analytics and deploying enabling technologies in both the public and private sector.

Tom is taking over from former Chairman, Charles Mindenhall, who will remain on the Board as a non-executive director and will also continue in his role as Chair of the Agilisys Employee Ownership Trust.

Mindenhall said: “Tom has an impressive track record of delivering successful growth strategies and leading established businesses through large-scale transformation. Since joining the Agilisys Board, he has played a pivotal role in supporting me, other Board members and the executive leadership team to refresh our strategy and move Agilisys forward to its next phase of growth.

“As we start to execute on our plan and with a new chief executive in place, it feels like the right time for me to hand over the Chair to Tom. I am delighted that the Board has selected such a strong candidate to lead Agilisys through its next era of development.”

Drury commented: “Agilisys holds a strong reputation and brand in the marketplace, with 1,500 colleagues delivering innovative solutions to more than 50 public sector customers every day.

“As a Board and leadership team we all share the same mission: to deliver excellent service to our existing customers, to continue to grow market share in our core UK local government market with a growing focus on helping them migrate to the cloud, and to take our digital transformation expertise into adjacent sectors.

“I am excited to become Chairman of Agilisys and am committed to working with the Board, the executive leadership team and all our employee owners, to steer the business forward to achieve its growth potential.”
