New technology infrastructure is key to enabling local authorities to deliver efficient and engaging services. However, in an environment of increasing budgetary pressures, the requirement for investment in this area is often a major barrier to change.

The ‘as-a-service’ model is providing councils with the ability to overcome this barrier. Investments in cloud services are enabling councils to deliver more relevant services without the levels of capital expenditure associated with traditional infrastructure investments.
