SCC awarded 10-year £13.5m Oxford City Council ICT contract

SCC has won a £13.5m ten-year ICT contract with Oxford City Council for the provision of services including technical support, data centre hosting and database administration.

SCC has won a £13.5m ten-year ICT contract with Oxford City Council for the provision of services including technical support, data centre hosting and database administration.

Under the original terms of the agreement the authority had planned to replace its existing ICT infrastructure deal provided by Oxfordshire County Council with a new contract divided into seven lots that would be open to a number of different suppliers, but now SCC will take the entire infrastructure agreement.

“Throughout the process, SCC consistently showed themselves to be professional and responsive, and their proposed ‘Sentinel’ cloud platform has shown to be highly reliable in recent years,” said the authority.

SCC will provide ICT services divided into the following five lots:

– Data centre hosting services, such as the provision of connectivity and data centre capacity

– Server and storage capacity

– Server technical support

– Database administration

– Network security infrastructure and support, including design, implementation and maintenance
