Public sector organisations are under pressure to accelerate digital transformation, improve citizen experience and make services more efficient, all within a climate of financial austerity.
Technologies such as cloud computing and methodologies like Agile are being recommended to help them achieve these goals, while procurement reform has given public sector buyers access to a diverse choice of IT suppliers. On the flip side, this reform means that a wide range of IT suppliers can now seize the opportunities available in the UK public sector market – one that has previously been difficult to enter.
How can public sector organisations use Agile at scale to quickly improve service? How can public sector suppliers meet buyer expectations? Two educational roadshows on Thursday 16th July in London will explain.
A morning session for public sector buyers includes a case study from Neil Butler, Programme Manager at the Home Office, on how they have adopted Agile delivery and new technologies to transform the services they deliver. In addition Eugen Mohan, from IT services company Kainos, will discuss how cloud computing and Agile have helped deliver digital transformation across other central and local public sector organisations.
The session in the afternoon, specifically for technology suppliers, will provide top tips on how to sell more effectively into the public sector. Presentations from the Home Office and Taser International, represented by CEO Rick Smith, will provide valuable insight into customer expectations and how to meet them.
