Thought leaders from the Department of Work and Pensions and the Welsh Government will come together on 28 April to lead the third Digital Leaders Wales Salon in Newport.
Derek Hobbs, Head of Digital Services Division at the Department of Workplace and Pensions and Bill Oates, Head of Geography and Technology at the Welsh Government, will discuss open data and whether data sharing can deliver better public services.
In addition speakers and attendees will have the opportunity to debate how citizens can leverage open data to support local government in delivering services, what can be learned from successful citizen services act like FixMyStreet and how to replicate that success in the public sector. Networking drinks will follow the discussion.
The Digital Leaders Wales programme is a regional division of Digital Leaders, an independent organisation connecting digital stakeholders through salons, webinars and local networking events across the UK.
