Agilisys signs deal with Great Yarmouth Council to deliver online customer portal

Great Yarmouth Borough Council has become the most recent authority to choose the Agilisys Digital platform to help improve its customers’ online experience and save money.

Great Yarmouth Borough Council has become the most recent authority to choose the Agilisys Digital platform to help improve its customers’ online experience and save money.

In a competitive process, the council has selected Agilisys’ Digital for Districts offering, with its modules customised for the specific needs of district councils, and will purchase the platform through the Government’s G-Cloud framework.

The implementation will also include integration with Agilisys Engage personalisation software, which is currently being used by local authorities across the UK to anonymously profile more than 5m digital customer journeys each month. By increasing understanding of visitors’ needs as they use the website, and then serving up the most relevant content based on this knowledge, users of the Great Yarmouth Council website will enjoy an improved online experience – leading to increased use of this cost-effective channel.

The Agilisys Digital Platform will provide citizens with a self-service capability and will be rolled out incrementally, beginning with MyAccount, Environmental Booking and a Single Sign On to a range of digital services, including the new Residents Advantage Card Scheme.

Jane Beck, Director of Customer Services for Great Yarmouth Council, stated: “The Agilisys Digital and Engage products are an excellent fit for our requirements; achieving key efficiencies whilst also improving our customer services. We now look forward to working with Agilisys to improve the online customer experience at Great Yarmouth. We are confident that with the Agilisys Digital platform we can create the right digital ecosystem to allow a greater number of customers to benefit from accessing services through ever more efficient digital channels. This will mean savings for the council and also meet our customers’ growing expectations of digital service delivery.”

Tim Pitts, Agilisys Digital Partner, commented: “We are delighted to add Great Yarmouth to our growing list of forward-thinking clients that are benefiting from our commitment to transforming online service delivery through development of innovative products like Agilisys Digital and Agilisys Engage. We are also pleased to have been able to use our presence on the G-Cloud framework to make this happen in a cost effective and simple manner. Agilisys have already led a project kick off session that was attended by key senior stakeholders and ICT colleagues from across the council. The session provided a focal point for the project initiation and was warmly received by all.”

Nigel Muirhead, Agilisys Director of Products, added: “This latest contract win is further testament to the savings and improvements that Agilisys Digital and Engage can achieve for local authorities. We’re delighted to add Great Yarmouth Council as our newest Agilisys Digital customer, becoming the 3rd to sign in this month alone. The platform continues to grow, meaning across the UK more and more councils are transforming citizens’ access to services in a cost effective way.”
