  • How to evade previous pitfalls to transform information technology, the lessons learnt and practical advice to avoid costly problems.
  • What are the key steps towards delivering a paperless NHS by 2018 and a modern digital health service.
  • A focus on the practical outlining how digital technology can improve services, benefit patients and support clinical decision-making.
  • An update and analysis of the Information Government Oversight Panel (IIGOP) progress report.
  • How to meet safety standards and ensure that information flows freely and securely across care settings.
  • How technology can support service integration and deliver better care at lower cost.
  • How to make the best use of patient information and drive improvements in the quality of care.
  • Insight into EU regulations on data protection and data sharing and what this means for the NHS.

Speakers confirmed for the event include: Tim Straughan – Director of Health and Innovation at Leeds and Partners; Professor Jonathan Kay – Clinical Informatics Director for NHS England; Julia Manning – Founder and Chief Executive of 2020health; Julia Ball – Assistant Director of Nursing at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust; James Freed – Head of Information Strategy at Public Health England and Dawn Monaghan – Group Manager of Public Services for the Information Commissioner’s Office.
