MDNX, a provider of independent managed network services has announced that North Lincolnshire Council PSN will use its services to replace its current WAN requirements. The project aims to enable better joined up public services to the region and will deliver next generation data and communications infrastructure with security level impacts from IL0 to IL2. It is hoped that the deal will cut costs of network infrastructure for public services by around 25% over five years.

The project aims to provide new PSN compliant infrastructure which will enable collaboration and joined up working across different council services, such as council offices, libraries, schools, colleges, youth centres, leisure facilities, courts and homeworkers.

“The integrator model provides a truly competitive approach to the delivery of connectivity enabling us to access an array of different products and services. This has enabled us to introduce a huge amount of flexibility into our network. This solution provides a number of options and network solutions. This approach is much appreciated when managing the challenges facing local government,” said Paul Smith, Unified Communications Manager, North Lincolnshire Council.
