Record spend of £10 million through G-Cloud in October

£10 million was spent on IT software and services through the G-Cloud in October, the largest monthly spend through the programme so far.

£10 million was spent on IT software and services through the G-Cloud in October, the largest monthly spend through the programme so far. Total spend through G-Cloud now stands at around £63.4 million, 56% of which has been spent with SMEs.

In the past month, the Office of the Public Guardian spent £256,725 with the Engine Group for a core systems replacement, and the Ministry of Justice spent £217,456 with Detica. The Department of Health spent £158,882 with PA Consulting for a cloud migration project for the National Institute for Health Research, and the Department of Business Innovation and Skills selected IBM for various deals, the most valuable of which being a £23,000 contract for a lead data analyst for the department.

The G-Cloud is currently in its fourth iteration and 84% of its suppliers are SMEs, according to the Cabinet Office.
