In a recent article published in the September edition of SEN Magazine, Myles Pilling of AccessAbility Solutions reflects on the changes taking place in how ICT is being used to support SEN learners in the classroom, explaining good practice as it applies to LA advice and support provision for special educational needs teams.

The ‘Changing Times’ piece argues that “thinking outside the box is needed in education now more than ever”, exploring the  role of the specialist in keeping a team up to date with the latest technologies to aid recording and access to the school curriculum.

Myles Pilling was also recently interviewed for the August/September issues of Special Children. In the interview, entitled ‘Is there an app for that?’ Mr Pilling discusses the need for certain things to be in place as well as  strategies and methods to employ to use iPads to include and support pupils with additional needs.
