Scottish ministers issue tender for public sector IT staff

Scottish ministers are tendering for the provision of temporary IT staff for public sector organisations across Scotland.

Scottish ministers are tendering for the provision of temporary IT staff for public sector organisations across Scotland, including ministers, non-departmental public bodies, councils, fire and rescue services, policy authorities, health boards and further or higher education institutions. The three-year framework contract is covered by the Government Procurement Agreement (GPA) and is thought to be worth around GBP 43.3 million. The tender states that there will be an extension option of a year.

The framework agreement will also reportedly be available to charities on the Scottish charity register, and voluntary organisations on the membership database for the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations.

Scottish ministers will be purchasing on behalf of other authorities, including: Transport Scotland, National Museums of Scotland, NHS 24, Central Scotland Fire and Rescue Service, The State Hospital for Scotland, Glasgow Metropolitan College, Audit Scotland and the University of Edinburgh.
