Ingenica is releasing Atticus into the UK healthcare market. Atticus is an end-to-end inventory management solution for the NHS, which aims to improve efficiency and reduce cost throughout the ‘procure to pay’ cycle.
Atticus is cloud enabled and designed for rapid deployment, usually starting at the areas of highest spend. Using Atticus, healthcare providers can transform process, improve their data and secure control over their purchasing and inventory. It is hoped that customers will see savings and efficiencies in manpower, finance and back office functions at a time when the NHS is being challenged to deliver significant reductions in spend.
Nicola Hall, Managing Director commented “We’re very excited by the feedback we’ve received from our customers within the NHS. Improved inventory management offers the NHS some very significant opportunities to save money. We’ve brought together a team of people with both extensive experience in the NHS and commercial procurement disciplines – who are highly motivated to help the NHS achieve a transformation and help improve patient outcomes.”
Mark Van Den Hurk, Product Manager & Head of Development added “In Microsoft we’ve chosen a strong technology Partner and industry standard tools as a platform for the specialised development of the Atticus product. Our objective is to provide effective, practical tools designed for the clinical environment at the point of care which help health providers transform their existing supply chain practice and procedures so they can meet important standards such as GS1 and beat government targets.”
