Siteimprove, a provider of web management tools for websites, has announced that it will sponsor the ‘local government’ category in the Digital Leaders 50 Awards which aim to recognise leaders and organisations who demonstrate a pioneering and sustainable approach to digital transformation. The winners will have shown leadership and innovation in harnessing digital technology and the internet as providers of information, key services and social interaction.

According to Cerri Mac, UK Managing Director at Siteimprove: “Our customers are very much at the forefront of managing and implementing the government’s Digital by Default strategy and channel shift initiatives via their websites. Siteimprove offer tools and advice that enable our customers to develop and improve their digital strategies, so it’s our pleasure to show our appreciation to them by sponsoring such a relevant award.”

Siteimprove provides hosted website governance services to over 50% of UK councils. It helps customers meet business objectives and user expectation via their websites which are strongly influenced by the government’s Digital by Default strategy and influential bodies such as Socitm.

In May, Digital by Default News reported on Siteimprove’s ongoing roadshow around the UK to visit councils and learn about their needs. Moreover, they will be holding a workshop for the public sector titled ‘Govern and ensure a compliant website’ on October 15.
