This year’s ‘Public Cloud Project of the Year’ at the Datacentre Solutions Awards 2013 was given to the government’s G-Cloud programme after it was nominated by Skyscape cloud services.

According toSkyscape CEO Phil Dawson: “The win is another endorsement of the truly transformational impact the Framework has had in just over a year… Quite simply, G-Cloud has tipped the balance of power in favour of the end-user, which is ultimately the UK tax payer and British citizens.”

It was recently reported that the Cabinet Office published the G-Cloud iii framework as well as announcing its new cloud-first policy.
