Cabinet Office publishes Govt Digital Strategy progress report

Following the launch of the Government Digital Strategy in November last year, the Cabinet Office Digital Leaders group has published the first quarterly report on its progress.

Several departments are in the process of creating a specialist digital unit

Following the launch of the Government Digital Strategy in November last year, the Cabinet Office Digital Leaders group has published the first quarterly report on its progress which says that activity has been focused on assessing and building digital capability.

According to the report, several departments like the Department of Health and the Foreign Office are in the process of creating a specialist digital unit while the Ministry of Justice has set up a 40-strong Digital Services Division.

Amongst challenges faced is how to build understanding on information security. The government has also decided that along with quarterly reports it will also publish an Annual Review in December.
