An online tool allowing citizens to report concerns and give information regarding items such as alcohol, tobacco and knives being sold to children has been created by Essex County Council’s Trading Standards, Braintree DC and Brentwood BC’s licensing services.
According to Essex County Councillor Roger Walters, Member with responsibility for Trading Standards: “The online reporting form will enable consumers to report issues of under aged sales. We will then be able to exchange and share that information with ease ensuring that we are using the intelligence to its full potential.”
