Surrey social care website is updated and relaunched

“The new features will make it even easier for users find the information that can help them or those they care for make informed decisions about their lives.”

Updated social care website

The website, surreyinformationpoint.org.uk, has been updated and relaunched, complete with a text messaging service.  The site runs the listings of nursing homes and home care operators, as well as providing data on the social services from organisations, charities and communities groups. The new texting service means that users can send information straight to their mobiles.

The website was established in 2011 by Surrey County Council, NHS Surrey and Social Information on Disability.

Michael Gosling, the council’s cabinet member for adult social care and health, said: “The new features will make it even easier for users find the information that can help them or those they care for make informed decisions about their lives.”
