11 more organisations move to GOV.UK

It’s been a month since the Departments for Transport and Communities and Local Government moved to GOV.UK, and instigated the migration of around 300 departments and agencies to the site by April 2014. This week 11 more organisations will move to the site, bringing more policies, content and users to Inside Government. Key organisations migrating to the site include: the MOD (with five agencies and other public bodies, and three high profile internal MOD units); the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, along with the Foreign Compensation Commission; the Department for Business, along with the Industrial Development Advisory Board, and the Attorney General’s Office.

There are now 72 policies on 25 topics live on Inside Government. The release includes a number of shared policies which have been created by working with policy teams across organisations to achieve a single document for a cross-government approach.

In many cases the new release marks the full migration of content from organisations to GOV.UK. By the end of March next year another 18 ministerial government departments are due to be moved across.
