Sheffield Council is participating in the UK Online Centre’s Get Online Week (October 15th – 19th) to help people understand the benefits of the internet, as it estimates that about 95,000 of its residents “don’t have the skills, confidence or a PC to access the internet.”

Sheffield Council is participating in the UK Online Centre’s Get Online Week (October 15th – 19th) to help people understand the benefits of the internet, as it estimates that about 95,000 of its residents “don’t have the skills, confidence or a PC to access the internet.”

The campaign has the tag line “Find a bigger life online” and the schedule for the week in Sheffield includes a Town Hall event – residents can drop in at any time between 10 am and 2 pm to get “free, expert advice about the internet”.
