Verto – a single Cloud-based system, managing all project workflow

In an article on its website, the Society of Information Technology Management (Socitm) has said that it will be working closely with Verto, a web-based project and programme management system from TMI Systems, to support Cloud-based project management in local government.

According to the article, the local government sector manages big projects with spreadsheets, documents and emails, making it hard to achieve effective governance.

Verto has been designed in response to the challenges faced by local authorities and their business partners in delivering improved services whilst achieving more efficient operational practices and cash savings. Resource utilisation is significantly improved by highlighting and, where necessary, shutting down poorly performing projects.

Developed in partnership with Peterborough City Council, it provides a single Cloud-based system, managing all project workflow and enabling its monitoring and evaluation from idea through to completion.

Councils that would like to collaborate more effectively to share ideas can make use of Verto’s 10,000 users in more than 30 councils across the country accessible via the VertoCloud user community.

Verto is available through the government’s G-Cloud framework, Cloudstore, as a low cost service.
